The Samaj continues to raise funds for the Hospital/school project in Chilianaula, India. This facility provides Ayurvedic instruction and care as well as eye camps for the impoverished surrounding area. In the future, they may also include women’s care as part of their coverage. The Samaj also continues to fund raise for the smaller hospital and dispensary in the little village of Haidakhan.
The Divine Mother temple at the Haidakhandi Universal Ashramin Colorado has expanded the existing space to accommodate the many devotees that gather there for chanting and celebrations. The additional kirtan hall seats 250 people. Although the new hall was completed in 2005, there is still a construction loan to pay off. Donations for this project are appreciated.
The creation and support of Aarati groups around the country is another one of our projects. In our big country, it is most revitalizing and inspiring for devotees to have local centers where they can meet with other kindred souls for aarati, chanting, satsang, and other rituals. For a complete list of the current centers in the United States refer to our Ashram and Center section.
